The one thing I would advise (and you may have already done this, but in Texas it isn't required on new construction) is have it inspected before you close. Now, you know when your's was built, and mine was inventory, but if I ever buy another new house, even if I watch them build it, I will still have it inspected before I close.

The builder will fix the problems, but my concern is they are just worried about the cosmetic stuff and not the cause. But, they are responsible for drainage for 5 years, the driveway for 2, and the foundation for 10.adlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16274431318086214878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884316622827588370.post-15934569527999026502007-12-12T06:08:00.000-06:002007-12-12T06:08:00.000-06:00Hey Alexis! You're making me nervous, especially since we're supposed to close on a new construction on the 7th of Jan!

If you bailed on the house, would you be able to sell it or can you get the builder to rectify all the problems?

Hang in there and I hope everything works out for you!!!!

DebbieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4884316622827588370.post-393208429073554902007-12-06T10:19:00.000-06:002007-12-06T10:19:00.000-06:00I would almost be inclined to bail. You would thin...I would almost be inclined to bail. You would think that they would have thought of some of this stuff before hand. Is everything attributed to being built in a drought? given your location you would think they would plan for that sort of thing. sorry you are stuck in this dilema.brookehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17781446426142472907noreply@blogger.com
